Two Senior Geologists to Advance Foran's McIlvenna Bay and other Exploration Projects

Saskatoon, SK (March 18, 2011) - Foran Mining Corporation (TSX.V: FOM) (“Foran” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Roger March P.Geo., has been hired as Foran’s Manager, Advanced Projects and Dave Fleming P.Geo., has been hired as Foran’s Manager, Exploration for Foran’s McIlvenna Bay Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) Deposit in northeast Saskatchewan, 60 kilometres west of Flin Flon, Manitoba.

Roger has more than 18 years of progressive exploration and project management experience, focused mainly on the design, implementation and supervision of advanced exploration programs. As the former Senior Project Geologist at Cumberland Resources, Roger spent 11 years as part of the team responsible for the completion of prefeasibility and feasibility level studies for the Meadowbank Gold Project, including resource increases from 800,000 to over 4,000,000 ounces gold during that time. Roger has extensive experience integrating exploration with geotechnical, metallurgical and environmental programs for project development. Roger has multi-commodity exploration experience and has held positions with Inco, Redfern Resources, Lac Minerals and the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Mines and Energy.

Dave is a Professional Geologist with over 30 years of generating, managing and conducting successful mineral exploration in North America. Dave began his career with Canamax Resources Inc., an exploration group responsible for Yukon exploration and development at the Ketza River Gold Mine and Sa Dena Hes Zn-Pb-Ag Mine. Companies and clients included in Dave’s resume’ are Cyprus Canada, Kennecott Canada, Billiton Metals, Rio Algom and Teck Exploration. More recently Dave was involved with the Cumberland Resources Ltd. team in exploration through feasibility at the Meadowbank Gold Deposit, Nunavut, resulting in the $690 Million takeover of the company by Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. Dave will use his strong background in district and regional scale exploration and discovery to explore the McIlvenna property as well as Foran’s other properties.
